We respect the privacy of our clients and are committed to safely managing and protecting the information that has been collected, and only using it for the purposes for which it was intended.

By engaging Flare Aviation’s services, we assume that you have read and agreed to our Privac`y Policy.

You may see 'Flare', 'Flare Aviation' or 'Flare Aviation Limited' referenced throughout the policy, all of which relate to our business and services.

In order to help you learn, and to provide further services which help your learning, we will collect, store and use your personal information where it is relevant to providing you with the agreed products and services. 

We will use your contact information to communicate with you and provide information about updates and releases for the products you hold with Flare Aviation, and newsletters about our business. We may also use your information to help operate and improve our business, product offerings and services.

Flare Aviation will endeavour to collect personal information directly from the person that information relates to. We may collect personal information when you

· Create an account

· Speak to us in person

· Complete online forms or surveys

· Comment on or engage with our social media posts

· Use our websites and other digital platforms (including our iOS and Android apps)

In some circumstances, we may collect information from third parties, however Flare Aviation will seek your consent prior to approaching any third party for further personal information.

We will collect a limited amount of information to provide educational services to you. This may include:

· Personal details such as name, email address, date of birth and gender

· Your local aeroclub

· Your progress across Flare modules

· Payment details for purchases - Payments are made through third party providers and Flare has no access to your payment details. Care has been taken to select trustworthy providers, but we cannot accept liability for their services. Should you require further information, we can direct you to the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions of those providers at any given time. Please reach out to support@flareaviation.co.nz if you require these. You can find the names of third-party providers below should you wish to find these yourself.

· Information about device IP addresses, cookies, browser and operating systems

To protect personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. 

Personal information is held on our systems and third-party systems. The third-party providers we use are Google's Firebase, Stripe Payments, GoDaddy for website, hosting and domain services and Microsoft.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our website’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

Flare Aviation will endeavour to keep personal information it has collected confidential.

We may use your information as part of statistics that do not identify you. This would relate to your education and modules completed, and would not include personal details such as name, email address, date of birth or gender.

We may use reviews or feedback provided by you for our website, apps or promotional material. These may include your first name.

When you click on links on our website or apps, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

We take care to ensure that the links provided are to trusted third-party sites which are necessary for our services, or to direct you to further tools which may aide your learning.

Flare Aviation is required to hold information on our systems for as long as determined by New Zealand legislation and regulations. 

You can request deletion of your information if you wish to delete an account you have created. We may still use some non-identifying information, such as modules completed, for our statistics but will remove all other information. You can email support@flareaviation.co.nz to request deletion of data.

Every person has the right to access and correct any information that Flare Aviation holds about them. If you would like to access, correct or amend any personal information we hold about you, register a concern or want more information about our privacy practices, you can email support@flareaviation.co.nz.

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in products, services or laws that we have to comply with. Our most up to date Privacy Policy will be available on our website. This is subject to change at any time, without notice.
